This One Cup Of Coffee is 80 Times Stronger Than Espresso

We all joke about our caffeine addiction and need for it to survive, so much that we are stopping for a fix multiple times per day. But now, there’s a café in Australia that just took things to the next level.

And by next level, we mean light-years away from that standard cup of Joe. How? They are serving coffee that’s 80 times stronger than espresso.Viscous Coffee, located in Adelaide, Australia, has come up with a blend that is appropriately named, “Asskicker.” Stronger than 80 shots of espresso this brew is meant to be sipped over a long period of time, keeping you alert for 12 to 18 hours.

So how did this insane cup of coffee come about? Café owner Steve Bennington shared that he originally developed it to help an ER nurse stay awake during her overnight shifts.

“She consumed her drink over two days and it kept her up for almost three days—I toned it down a little after that and the ‘Asskicker’ was born,” he said. While we’re not quite sure how healthy this is – caffeine can cause all sorts of issues, including anxiety and unpredictable bowel movements – we’re pretty impressed with anyone who gives it a shot. Or 80 shots, to be precise.
