Creepy Footage Shows ‘Gollum-Like Monster’ Stalking Moose

The mystery creature was caught on camera by a family watching anxiously from their car parked metres away. It emerges from the trees and creeps to the roadside before scuttling off.

The clip has sent the internet into a frenzy, with social media users likening the apparent animal to supernatural The Lord of the Rings character Gollum. In the video, the strange apparition appears to walk on its hind legs, stooping over with its shoulders arched and its arms hanging down in front of it.

Standing at about six feet tall, the faceless human-like creature seems to be stalking a moose grazing by the roadside. The footage was captured by Audree Frechette in Quebec’s isolated Gaspé Peninsula. She then uploaded it to YouTube.

Audree can be heard talking to her family in the clip as they try to work out what they are looking at.

‘Seems like a Gollum,’ commented one person on YouTube.

‘My precious,’ joked another, citing Gollum’s famous quote from The Lord of the Rings.
